The Youth Palace in Yerevan was constructed in the 1960s. Resembling and nicknamed a corncob, the Youth Palace was an architectural landmark with a hotel, swimming pool, marriage hall and other facilities. The building was demolished in 2000s but its memory lives on.
The Spear of Destiny (or holy lance) is legendarily known as the lance that pierced the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross. Design is based on the holy lance relic on display at the Etchmiadzin cathedral in Armenia.
